LG Stylo 4 Touch Button keeps glowing

[Android Central Question]

To be exact the bottom of the screen keeps glowing, it's a white circle it's the same one that shows up when you plug in the charger. It keeps doing it every other second now and idk how to fix it. It doesn't affect the phone usage but it's very annoying.

Actually, both screenshots look identical, LOL.

Does that also happen if you long-press the Home button? If so, I'd wonder if there's some phantom touch that's happening around there.

Try doing a hard reset of the phone and see what happens.

Does anything happen if you swipe up from the Home button? I wonder if it could be some added feature that allows you to swipe up a menu from the Home button.

Maybe someone can contact LG regarding their issue and see what they say. I have purchased a new iphone 8, but I am still very interested in this phone. I know it's apples to grapefruit but Thats how I am. My wife's employer gets us great deals on apple products so, Had to go that route. I may still buy the lg and a smaller one for my wife so we can see what budget phones bring to the table.

Any updates/fix for the glowing circle problem over the home button? My wife and I have identical LG Stylo 4 phones. Her's has this problem, mine does not. Our settings appear to be the same. Any ideas to resolve?

I just finally figured out the flashing circle. Go to your settings, then to display, scroll to the very bottom. Is says blink led. Touch the blink led. It will take you to a nother screen turn it off and it goes away.
Thank God. It was driving me crazy.

Ok i found this forum to be close to what i have been experiencing on two of my phones they are both lg stylo 4 they both were baught at the same time and about a year later got the exact same bug . it was a zip folder embedded on the phones by the lg company as i reviewed the bug report it shows me that at a specific time a date it was to dump a but into the lg phone system it was attached to the software update to crash the phone system basically by making it act on its own as if someone had remote access it was a virus basically to make you go buy a new phone or pay to have it repairs by lg. This is the exact same thing Microsoft did years ago and was caught if fraud when i called boost mobile, google ,lg, and sprint they all did not want to talk to me if you kno how to fix this bug and prove the bug was made to crash the phone i can send you the bug report.

Welcome to Android Central! What ZIP folder are you referring to, how do you know it was embedded by LG, and where in the bug report does it show you that it was supposed to plant this bug? Are you an experienced software engineer or cybersecurity specialist to be able to figure this out? What exact same thing did Microsoft do -- can you link an article detailing that?

I called LG. Allie CSR # 15150
Said several things
1. Turn the do not disturb button on and that will prevent anything from notification your phone
2. Do a factory reset
3. IF ALL ELSE FAILS go to
lgmobilerepair.com and get a shipping label. You will be without a phone while the technicians work on the phone. If you are out of wanted... Have a good day
