Hi. I'm a noob. And what makes that worse? I'm a stupid noob knee-deep in some... you know what.

Anyways, my problem:
I have a 3-month-old LG Optimus T, rooted and running a custom Android 2.3 ROM. I heard that the 2.3 update was available from LG and I wanted to try it. BAD IDEA.
Despite the warnings against updating a rooted phone, I did it anyways out of stupidity. It was also probably because I forgot to disable the modem driver or it may have been the battery being too low.

The update was going fine until the it was actually installing. I got a yellow screen and the words "Emergency Mode". Naturally, I followed the on-screen instructions: take the battery out, redo the update. I did exactly that but this time, the phone wasn't recognized by my computer. (could it be a missing driver?)

The phone refused to turn on after taking the battery out for a few minutes and wouldn't even start when I tried a factory reset (volume down + back + power).

Right now I'm trying to charge my phone, but I don't know if I'm doing it in vein or not. (no indicators.)

As far as I know, it's been bricked. Now all my phone is good for is a paper weight probably with no hope of recovering the OS.

This case is unique to me in that I could not even get into a bootloader, let alone a single button's light like others that had the same problem could. I'l try starting up after a while..

UPDATE: I tried restarting after trying to charge but still no response whatsoever. Prognosis: bad.

Am I doomed?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

No hard key lights, no backlight, no response at all = fully bricked = it's trashed. The only option left is to take it back for warranty repair.

Put it in Emergency Mode, then use KDZ Updater and the latest stock rom to flash it back.

This guide should help you. (Site was down when I tried to access it, so this is a cached version.)

If you don't want to bother with the OTA update after flashing that, here's the latest V10S I downloaded from LG's repository: V10S_00.kdz

I had a similar (not exactly same though) experience. I sent it back to LG for a repair finally.
