LG V20 Hotspot

I have a T-Mobile LG V20 with One-plus service. My hotspot will not activate. It goes out and checks service then goes off. Strange thing is my tethering works fine. I have called T-Mobile tech support, changed sim, and reset phone to factory defaults. Any otherT-mobile users have hotspot
issues?

I have T Mobile simple choice unlimited and my hotspot works fine. However what are you referring to when you say tethering if the hotspot isn't working?

Since hotspot button will not work or activate. I plug a USB cable into my laptop and enable the tethering button, That works
I came from a Nexus 6P and hotpot would activate on that phone under my current plan.

A lot of time when you switch carriers, some of the functions don't properly work.
