LG v20 messages app

Hello! I am having a problem with my messages app. I have always used mysms as a paid subscriber. I have had it on a note 4, note 5 and note 7 with no issues. I got the LG v20 and installed it and realized people using the stock messages app were not coming thru on mysms. They are going to the messages app. I took my grandsons phone and installed another txting app and it worked fine...went right to mysms. Thats an easy fix but I have friends who use the stock app. I have tried every setting possible. I have made mysms the default. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I use mysms on my phone, tablet and home computer so using the stock app is not an option as I need to use it at work also. Is it just a bug with the Nougat OS and hopefully will work itself out!

If there is nothing in the settings then the only thing I could think of is that mysms isn't optimized for nougat

That's what I was thinking also. I sent mysms a quick email but havent heard back. I just find it weird some work some dont. Oh and my son uses the stock app and it works correctly. It's so random. It's the little things that drive me crazy.

I have the free version, using the stock app, and texts are coming through fine....

Hey pink, People using stock messaging app txting you comes thru mysms? Thats whats weird..my grandson & neighbour sent txt and they went to the stock app but my son he uses stock app and it comes thru mysms fine.

Yes, I've had no issues at all (knock on wood) some are iMessages, some are Sammies, and the one friend has the V10. All various carriers. The people texting me are using their own stock messaging apps.

Weird. I'll keep an eye on it...

Make sure you set the default in the system settings and not within the app if it prompts you.

Settings, apps, hamburger menu, configure apps..
