Can someone who used both please suggest me which is better wrt battery life, camera and day to day use ? Also, is the second screen onLG V20 any useful?

I've had both. V20 is very nice, and I suppose the second screen would be useful to someone- I did not find it useful. It seems redundant to me, I could get all my apps super fast anyway, so I usually never even looked at the secondary.

Not being a Mate 9 fanboy, but you will not get better battery life than the Mate 9. Period.

The camera was nice. I want to say the Mate is better, but I think it's just easier to use. The LG did have this fancy SLR thingy you could mess around with.

All that being said, in my opinion and experience, the LGV20 was a very good second runner up, I did not mind using it, and probably still would be if there was no Mate 9.

I had both as well, I actually came back to the Mate 9 as the daily driver after using the V20 as a daily driver for a while. I found the Mate 9 more fluid and better battery life. I also think the screen on the mate 9 is fantastic for and LCD. I also prefer the overall camera experience(shutter lag on the V20) on the mate 9 but do miss the wide angle ability. The selfie cam on the Mate 9 is much better as well IMO.
The Mate 9 isn't perfect, but for me I prefer it.

Thanks for the replies. Also, which is a better device for media consumption when using speaker ?

The Mate 9 is far better in that respect because it has stereo front facing speakers compared to the V20's mono speaker. The Mate 9 is also way louder.

Overall, having both, the only aspect of the V20 that I prefer is the Quad DAC. Other than that, in my view there is really no comparison. The Mate 9 is way quicker, it's screen is much nicer and brighter despite being lower resolution, it's UI is easier to get closer to stock Google, and it's battery life is insanely good while the V20's is really bad.

I also have both.

Mate 9 has much faster fingerprint sensor, way longer battery, UI is alot smoother.

V20 is lighter, gets better pictures (just slightly and using the rear camera), removable battery, better audio recording.

Sound volume through speaker is comparable on both along with screen brightness.
