I hate Android OS updates - I have yet to have one go smoothly. In fact, when I bought the LG v20 one of the attractions was it shipped with Nougat and I thought I had future-proofed myself, but it kept nagging me to update to Oreo and it has pretty much borked the phone - main issues are:
- data signal (it no longer has one)
: wifi calling (it won't hold the connection)
- "IMS has stopped working" error messages at regular intervals
- won't hold the home screen to the default I have selected.
I've now run a factory reset twice, but no improvement - if anything, it gets worse each time.
Anybody else with problems? Suggestions? Solutions? I've now been at this for three days and no better; Tmo have suggested sending me a replacement, but that means yet more time spent on it.....
