Lg v20 vs. Note 7, got both, let's compare!

Can't believe that many people with N7s apparently do not have to fly anywhere, unless they hide them, or use something else (too much of a pain to juggle phones IMO). Either the stat is bogus, or a lot of non flying device jugglers :)
Believe it or not I used to fly a couple hundred thousand miles a year... Then September 11th happened. I haven't been on an airplane since and don't intend to be. The stat came from Samsung because they're still trying to get us to give them back :-)

My battery struggled first few days of setup and tweaks. Once I set up... Did a restart and it is much improved. I hear from others as you settle in it improves a few days in with battery life.

Okay here is a low-light photo comparison. I don't do anything with photos but point and shoot. No settings, no editing On these two photos.

Seems like the Samsung got a little bit better detail , but when you look at the cat's whiskers, it did this weird pixelation thing...

When you look at the photo on the LG camera , it got the detail of the cat's whiskers pretty much perfect, although it seems to lose a lot of detail around the nose. It also had an odd, warm yellow tint to it.

My cat is grey, almost a bluish-gray called a Lilac tabby. My husband is into photography, and it first glance he liked the LG photo better , until you magnified it and then he decided he liked the Sammy photo better.

This one is really too subjective for me to say either way.

What do you all think of these two photos? I did my absolute best to make them identical. First photo is the LG v20

I just got the LG v20 and I miss the note 7 already, the screen on the v20 looks super dim to me, but if the battery is better than the Moto x pure I was using, it will have to do til the note 8 drops

* sorry... Forgot to attach quote

Coming from Note7... I'm more than satisfied versus initial expectations.

Yeah I was getting really good battery with the Note 7, so if this v20 can get me somewhat comparable battery life I'm good, the moto x pure had really mediocre battery life

I messed with the V20 at the AT&T store this evening for a bit, so far it seems like a pretty solid and snappy phone. Display
Isn't exactly in point IMO with the N7 but I can see that being subjective. Camera seems to load and fast and good pictures in store, and the manual options are pretty sweet and seem a bit better than the N7. The large display is nice, as much as I dig the curved display and look/feel the V20 isnt bad at all. Second screen is a nifty feature, I can see it being extremely useful to switch between apps and to toggle the most used features. And nougat is super snappy and I love the look and feel.

I'm pretty sold on it as of now, might just add an additional line onto my plan and see how I like it for a week so I don't have to forfeit my N7 yet. We'll see what happens I guess

That's exactly what I did... added a line to my plan so I can compare the two... :-)

And another win for the LG v20 versus the Note 7 on battery life... Why? Because they both seem about the same, maybe the LG a little bit better, but... The LG has a replaceable battery! See what happens, Sammy, when you take away a feature that the people want... :-( yes, chalk up a point for the LG

Tomorrow I'm going to go to some of the more remote areas near where I live... Going to check signal strength there.

For the display? That's really going to be a subjective one I think... I think younger eyes are going to like the LG better. I say that because as we age, we don't see colors as well, and are probably more attracted to the really oversaturated colors in the display on the Samsung. I myself pulled up two pictures side by side and was drawn to the Samsung, but then I realized that the background that was supposed to be white was actually sort of blue... the color on the LG was more true to life probably, but I guess I've just become conditioned to that oversaturation from Samsung :-) for people with very young eyes , it's probably way too much! LOL
Probably because of my years of conditioning using nothing but Samsung , I do prefer the display on the Note 7. However, it's not as big of a deal as I thought it would be. For me, the nod goes to Samsung here , but not by as wide of a margin as I thought it would

I'm starting to try to come up with justifications to give my husband why I'm going to keep both phones... Any logical insight that you all could give me would be much appreciated :-) I'm starting to like the v20, but I still don't want to give up my Note 7

I can't believe how much I am liking the V20. My last LG phone was the G2 and that was also a good phone back then. I returned my S7e for the V20 because I really appreciate the larger screen, and found out it is just an all around awesome phone! The Note 7 was my all time favorite phone, but the V20 will do nicely until the Note 8 drops later next year.

I feel the same, note 7 best phone to me at least, but v20 will have to do til note 8 drops, after using the moto x pure which was more of a stock android experience and now using LG ui, I continue to prefer TouchWiz,but this LG v20 does seem to be a good phone.
