LG V30 verizon unlocked phone not able to recieve updates?

Got a lg v30 verizon unlocked phone, on a page plus phone service. Have used page plus on verizon unlocked phones the past three years.

However i've noticed with my phone and previous phones (lg g3/4/5) that there's no current security updates or software updates showing up after clicking "check for updates" in the phones settings.

Shows the last update was september 8th, 2018, however newer updates are showing on LG and verizon's websites.

Upon connecting the phone to my pc, after installing the update assistant, VW's update assistant, the appropriate drivers, and selecting 'file share' on usb modes as it recommends, no program picks up my phone. My pc itself still recognizes it and can look through files as normal, but no 'assistant' program detects it connected to my pc. I've reinstalled/downloaded usb drivers, tried "software update" option in usb choices when plugged in, and still no help.

Any ideas?

I noticed the same thing. I have a Verizon LG V30 on Total Wireless, and the OTA updates didn't seem to be working. You can update via your computer. The directions are here: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...zon.com/support/lg-v30-update/&token=FNBa2-Th
