Question Need help, not receiving software updates in new s24 plus phone

Where are you referencing post #167?

The device is not formatted properly, once you get it to what it was originally I don't know if you will get 5g as the device is not for your country and the Aussie firmware is not compatible with US so you won't be able to flash it .

US version and International Samsung firmware are not interchangeable and can't flash.
Post number 167 above and your reply to it are what I'm referencing:

I can't tell if this guy had 5G and went back to 4G... it looks maybe he was showing 4G and it went to LTE from there.

To clarify, is the DSA firmware the correct one for this device?

Thanks

Yeah that thread got a little confused so not sure.

Use frija tool to download your firmware which will be the latest that's on Samsung servers.

Hi. I have a similar problem. I bought a refurbished galaxy s23, that i'm using outside of USA. I don't recive any updates.

The model name of my device is "SM-S911U" and the CSC is "ATT".

I need help of how to flash my device. What i have understood is that i would need the "SM-S911U1" version, with the CSC "XAA". Would i be able to directly download that version on my phone, jump from CSC ATT to XAA?

Hi there

It's been six months, I've just been using the phone with OneUI 6.1 but I now want to try to fix it. You can see all my details and screenshots on the previous page of this thread.

I'm still a little confused - there seem to be two different options:
  1. Change CSC to the region I'm in (Australia) then OTA works as normal
  2. Manually download latest firmware for the phone's CSC (XAA - which isn't correct for this region) using frija
Is option 1 possible? Is there another option?

I downloaded frija and I'm OK with option 2, just making sure I'm picking the right one

Thanks

I spoke too soon :(

Frija doesn't detect the phone on auto mode, and says "Firmware information for provided model/CSC not found" on manual.

On sammobile there is a USA (XAA) firmware for the SM-S928U1 and also the SM-S928U. We also talked about DSA before, but my device shows its region code as XAA.

I'm fine with the process of flashing if needed, I'm just really confused about which firmware to flash (or whether flashing is even the right way to go)

Hello

What firmware your currently on?
SM-S928U or SM-S928U1
