GCAM Port for LG V40
The version I use is this:
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.6-Fu24_5Lens-01a.apk
Here's the webpage where you can experiment with different GCAM ports:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-fu24/
It was sluggish with dim shots, so there are tweaks I've made to its settings to fix it. When you launch the camera, go to "MORE" then "SETTINGS". In the "Mod Settings" menu, do the following:
> HDR+ Parameters = 5
> Autoexposure correction = Off
> Correction NightSight = Off
> Exposure Compensation = 0
> AWB Mod = 0
> Click on Advanced to expand the menu, then select "FIX". Make sure "Buffer Fix" is on.
With these settings, this GCAM port works well. Sluggishness in dim lighting is due to the HDR+ Parameters. The higher the number, the more layers it adds to the shot. So with the parameter set to 5, it's piling on 5 layers of the same shot to give you the color saturation and detail. If you reduce the setting, the shots will process faster but the HDR+ effect will be reduced as well.
