LG V40 Unlocking

I purchased an LG V40 online on eBay and it's locked to Sprint. I made the mistake of not doing my homework about Sprint and its network. I want to use it here in Canada on a GSM network, does anyone have any insights as to how, if at all this phone could be unlocked? Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Which Canadian carrier are you with? I'd recommend contacting them and asking about locking your phone to their network. Unlocking procedures are a little tricky internationally - my brother came into this when he moved back to Canada from the States.

I'm with Fizz which is an MVNO of Vidéotron in QC and Ottawa. I'll reach out to them and see. I haven't received the phone yet, so I'll try the sim first.
