Lg vm701 camera not working

Recently my camera stopped responding on my slider. I get the message "activity camera (in application camera) is not responding"
The camcorder function still works however. And opening from gallery or app drawer doesnt seem to matter. The phone has about 45 pictures taken from the camera and did work fine for a while.
I have tried deleting the cameras cache, reflashing the phone, and to no avail.

I am running gelato 11-28 with ginger kernel 7.1 , these have been reflashed (dalvic cache and phone cache wiped)

I am at loss does anyone have any ideas?

every time i change something in my build.prop my camera dies. try restoring just the build.prop from the gelato 11-28 rom.

(I know you did not say anything about you changing it. but it has died and i restored a fresh one and it fixed it)

Wouldn't wiping the catches and installing zip from sd replace the .prop as well? I'll give it a shot.

Extra Q using a theme from uot kitchen wouldn't change the build.prop or other camera functions
would it???
