LG Volt (Virgin Mobile) Tethering without Root

I have the LG Volt and i noticed that the phone has an option to tether using a WiFi and Bluetooth hotspot but requires you to have the hotspot plan through Virgin Mobile. I was wondering, since the phone has a native tethering option, if there is a way to get the hotspot to work without paying the extra fee and not rooting my phone. I don't have computer access to root the phone. Has any one out there come up with a way to do this? Any help is welcomed! Thank you!

Many carriers block unauthorized use of hotspot. Attempting to circumvent this can be a violation of Term of Service.
