LGG4 Bluetooth issues

Same problem here...

Old g2 used to tel/media pair with 2012 bmw and 2014 vw cars.

New g4 pairs tel but not media with same cars.

Both cars pair fine with wifes current (and aged) iphone4s as well as daughters iphone6

Wife wants new phone, I was recommending g4 but now am looking at samsung over this issue (and maybe for both of us).

I have a weird issue with my G4 and my 2014 VW Passat. BT connects just fine and all features apparently work just fine. The issue is that the phone keeps automatically connecting to my radio and starts playing music without me asking. Even if I select another source (FM, Satellite radio, CD), the phone will automatically switch the source back to BT after a few seconds. Extremely annoying and something that never happened on my M9, M8, or Lumia Icon.

After the 6.0 update, my G4 connected to the car unit via BT has a strange sound during a call and you can hear a thing. It's kind of a buzzing sound, you can't hear or be heard. before the update it worked fine.

I have a 2012 Kia Optima and the only problem I have is that when on a call via the car's bluetooth it kills the hotspot connection. App still running but nothing gets a signal.

In my case after updating to Marshmallow in my T-Mobile G4, Bluetooth streaming to headphones, portable speaker and BlackBerry Music Gateway is spotty, to the point of making it almost impossible to hear a song without pauses.

Update on my phone. As per Pandora support, they seem to have reports of this issue on Marshmallow G4s. Their proposed solution is to turn off battery optimization for Pandora in devices that have it turned on.

I'm testing it today, and so far it seems to help. I hope this solution is finally it!

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my phone and my car. I can play music just fine, but I can't hear a darn thing when trying to make a phone call. It works just fine as far as making and receiving calls, except for that one little issue. It's only been a couple weeks, I think, since it started. I have a Verizon LG G4, Android 6.0, Security Patch 2016-06-01, Software version VS98626A. My car is a 2015 Hyundai Elantra Limited.

Anyone else have this situation and having this problem? As I said, music works fine, as does dialing via voice command and answering via the buttons on the wheel, but no voice on phone calls. :'(:'(:'(

Maybe a solution for you:

I am using a VW Touran with the LG G4 and the RNS 315 (in Germany). BT connection works for calling and media streaming now. But at first there were problems too and here is how I solved mine:

I had to install the app Bluetooth Phonebook (Trial version). Maybe this is the solution to some of the problems. Only with this app the sync of contacts works with the RNS315. But: Gmail contacts have to be in a gmail contact group to be synced (for whatever reason) to the VW phone. It can be any group that you setup in Gmail just for this reason. So to have all contacts synced you need to add all of your contacts in Gmail into a group.

I hope this helps.
