Lift to ear to answer

Is there an option that I'm missing to just lift to ear to answer an incoming call? My G5 had that and was very convenient.

Yeah, the only option you get for the S9 is to place the call automatically when viewing a contact and raising the phone to your ear, but for incoming calls, the only gesture you have is to mute by covering the top sensor or flipping the phone over, or answer with the power key or automatically after two seconds when on BT headsets. That's pretty much it.

It sure is aggravating that each year one way or another these phones keep going backwards.

Not sure you can go 'backwards' when you never had this. This is not a standard Android feature, and personally, one that I would disable as soon as I got a phone if it was. I DON'T want my calls automatically answered at all.

I assumed that was a feature on samsungs in the past. It was on all my Lg's that I've had. And it wouldn't automatically answer until about a 1/2 second after I had the phone fully up to my ear. If I didn't put to my ear it would just go to voice mail.

I'll give that a try. I thought that was that it will directly call the contact on the screen as compared to directly answer the call. Thanks,
