light bleed

I remember dealing with with my note 8 and Samsung on this issue. Long story very short. Got a new Note 8 with no questions asked.
Verified IMEI number with Samsung as being new and not refurbished or re- certified.

My note 9, doesn't have it at all. Just compare it to the display models.
Don't believe whatever Samsung says. Phones with this light bleed, could be susceptible to water damaged if exposed to any.
$1000.00 phone's shouldn't have this at all.

It is BS that any high value item should come with any defects. Agree 100 percent, but that's why there's a return policy as well as a warranty. However you allege that Samsung has QC issues, and that somehow they're complicit in them. I call foul on that.

There's this little thing in production called variation (normal and abnormal). Anyway (in keeping things simple), this phenomena is a part of the production process that causes many a company a small percentage of product defects. It is an area all companies try to control because any defect to products is loss of revenue (and reputation).

In short, this is not intentional QC malfeasance, but simply a by-product of production that sometimes even QC can't catch or the issue didn't show at time of inspection. It happens. Again, thus the return periods and warranties.

Now don't get me wrong, I'd be annoyed too if my expensive item came in less than pristine condition (been there, done that); However, I also understand this happens; that if you sell a million units, a few may be defective (depart from it's target value). I simply return the product for a better working unit. Been there done that.

Enough said, Agree
💯%.
