Light notification

How can we set different light colors for notifications for different apps?

I'm pretty sure that you can't. There are some apps in the Play Store that do that, but the M9 isn't supported as far as I know.

This is another issue I was hoping HTC would address. I loved the way the indicator light on my S4 would use a particular color, depending on whether it was an SMS, an e-mail or a Facebook message. But beyond the color issue, the Galaxy line uses a nice, bright, constantly on indicator. With my M8, it's one color, very faint, and it only blinks every couple of seconds. It may sound silly, but I find it annoying having to stare at my phone for a couple of seconds, for it to indicate if I have a message waiting. Like I said, it's not a deal breaker item, but it's one of those usability factors you would hope companies would address in updated revisions.
