There is a spit under it. Rainbow colors weird. Hard to explain. Verizon replaced first one just noticed when turned phone off. Could screen be defective? Didn't notice before screen protector. Only see when phone is off. Don't want to be without.

I am really not sure what is going on at this point based on the way you explained it.
Are you now wondering if it's NOT actually the screen protector and the actual phone screen?

Is the screen protector on your phone glass or plastic, I am guessing it's just a low end plastic one that Verizon is getting in bulk to put on their phones.
So here is my suggestion. If it's plastic, order a $5.00 tempered glass screen protector on ebay, or pay 10 bucks at a store in a mall.
Then rip off that assumed plastic one. Check your actual screen, and see if it's the phone.
If it's not install the glass protector. It's WAY easier than the plastic, they don't bubble like plastic and are super clear. Once you go glass you will never go back.
If it IS the screen then if you still have warranty back to verizon for warranty

Cheers

It's tempered Glass Authentic Samsung purchased and installed at Verizon. They replaced and installed 2nd one. Both have same issue. Underneath reflective looking water spot and now see small dots too,
Is is the screen protector or phone screen
Very frustrating

It's the glass shield. It probably didn't adhere correctly bc of the curved edges.. I have a full screen glass shield that pops around the edges bc it can't stay on the edge of the screen. Very annoying to say the least.. () this close to going naked.

Really hard to say. It's possible the Verizon rep was a greasy teen and didn't wash their hands or clean the screen. but doubtful :)
The only way to know for sure is to remove it. I would bring it in and show verizon. Since they installed it I would expect them to be responsible for it and replace it if need be again. Since either way they should have noticed damage in the first case they replaced it

All these issues with the screen protectors I think I will go without. I don't have one on my S6 Edge so I should be good with this one.

I honestly don't think it's the screen protector. Especially because it's glass. It would be rare to get such an issue especially twice. I am guessing there's an issue with the screen but that's just my opinion. Tempered Glass screen protectors are just amazing.

I haven't read one successful screen protector story for the Note7. It seems everyone who had even mild success went south after a day or so. Either the plastic feels or looks like garbage and the glass ones keep popping off the edges. Still waiting for a good resolution on this.

^^ This^^

There's another thread on screen protectors, so check that out. There are precious few reports of protectors that "work", and in those few cases, other buyers don't agree. So far, I can't find one film or glass protector that appears to do the trick. I used two protectors so far - both suck - and have another on the way.

I have already experienced one tempered glass epic fail. Until there is one manufactured that really works, I am going to use a folio on days that are hectic and where there is a chance of damage to my phone. I love it right now with my Ringke clear thin rubber case and naked in the front but there might be travel days when a more protective case is needed. I don't want plastic on my screen and I hope a good glass protector comes out but until then, this is my solution.

Mine is successful. I'm super happy with my Verizon one. Rocking it with a s-view clear case

No weird colors, edges stick well, works with my case. So now you have heard of at least 1 successful story

It's the screen protector.

This is going to be the same garbage tempered glass as the ones from the S7 Edge. They only have adhesive on the top, bottom and very thin sides. No adhesive on the actual display area of the screen. I when through every available tempered glass for the S7 edge and they were all complete fails.

Here is a picture of the expensive Zagg Curve on my regular S7 and you can see the Dot Matrix over the display. Plus every case you try will pop the protector right off. It's a crappy film protector or nothing with these curved displays. Good Luck.

Good to hear.
Is there a brand name?

Has anyone tried Clear Coat (you can get it put on at a mall) wondering if a case works with this.

Or how about Liquid Armour from Staples?

does it affect screen sensitivity?

Just put on my 2nd screen protector. First one was a plastic that lifted in the corners when I put a case on. 2nd one is a glass, no curved edge to edge so not full coverage. Not liking it as now I've got this line on both sides where the screen protector ends. Also, I am worried that these unprotected edges will scratch

Just out of curiosity, do you have a link for that flat protector.

I've ordered this one hoping it covers a bit more edge.

Not to mention you will slowly collect dust on both edges of the protector.
