Limit Background Activity (cmd appops set... ) anybody done this?

I have and it seems to work well even if it is time consuming as you have to do it on a per app basis.

I am curious as to what could potentially undo this command? e.g. Device restart or the updating of an app.

The interweb only seems to mention how to manually undo it if you wish to. Anybody know any further details on how this works?

I personally use the AppOps framework it helps me to deceive apps that I granted them permissions is settings but actually they can't access the resources (ie they will get an empty contacts list) so it's important to me.
