This is the 2nd article Ive found that talks about rumours regarding a release a month from now of a Limited Edition Note 3 with a flexible display and beefier specs, please tell me this is a sick joke from someone, how could they release a flagship phone, the fastest in the world at the time, and then a month later release a faster, cooler, version of it, why dont they just spit in our eyes and call it even? how can they be serious? Im supposed to drop 700$ on this phone knowing a better SAME MODEL phone is supposed to come a month later??? am i the only one to have read about these rumours? the other rumour is theyre releasing a iphone5c version of note 3, with cheaper materials, inferior camera, etc..that I can understand, make a entry level version of the phone, but don't completely cut our legs out from under us! geeze!

I don't read that it has beefier specs, only a flexible display (which I'm not exactly sure the benefits of). I'd bet on the same internals.

While a flexible display has some potential advantages in resisting breakage (from certain impacts) It still will depend a lot on your uses whether that's a benefit.

My Note 3 is planned to see a lot of backcountry use. So I want a rugged case and a screen protector. How those accessories play with a flexible screen remains to be seen. or even how durable the screen turns out to be. I'll wait for the second gen of flexible screens most likely and to see how it interoperates with accessories.

I know it's not quite the same thing but auto manufacturers do this all the time. BMW 330ci --> BMW M3. Some people want the best of the best...of the best.

Seeing that sprint has not announced when they will release note 3 maybe this limited edition will be released on sprint . I am getting a note 3 day 1 when sprint gets it,, I would definitely check one of these out if they offer the flexible display.

Sprint announced yesterday it will be released on October 4 for $349 with 2 year contract

I suspect it will be a S.Korea launch only as its a limited supply and mostly so they can say they were first on flexible display technology ahead of LG (or anyone else). Nothing really to see and honestly I feel bad for Hong Kong users who are getting a 16GB version with no real answer if they are getting a 32GB or above. They could really be screwed.

The first red flag here should have been that this rumor comes from The Christian Post.
Since when did this site become an authority on android news??
You can put my vote firmly on "Not going to happen", and if it does, you won't see the phones in the US market anytime soon, if ever.
I discredit most rumors unless they make sense or major sites pick them up as well (AC, Engadget, DroidLife)
Until then I wouldn't be concerned about this

Rumors are now saying it's the Note Active with the LCD flexi screen and lesser camera. Just like the S4 Active. That's a little more reasonable actually if you get water and dust resistance in the bargain.
