Lines at the stores -- Looks like the Nexus is selling out!

The people at my Verizon store were shocked - SHOCKED - to see so many people. This morning when I went in at open they had 1 man at the register. They were floored. Verizon did not seem to expect too much from this for whatever reason.

I arrived a few minutes early for my 9:00 am "appointment" at the Apex NC Verizon store.
There was a line of about 25. An hour an a half later I had 2 Galaxy Nexi.

i walked in at 2pm, there was no wait and only 5 other people in the store.
She said they still have plenty of phones left.

No advertising in the store, only one demo phone and it was in the very back.
One of the other guys in the store was buying a RAZR and ask me what phone i had. The rep did not even tell him about the Nexus! He was having the rep show him the nexus when i was leaving, I hope he got the phone he wanted, not what they were pushing him in to.

In San Diego, had appt at 5pm with guy supposedly holding one for me. I called at lunch to make sure and he said, oh we are sold out. Called another corp store close to my work and they had 1 left. Raced out on my lunch break and was done, activated and ready to go within 20 min. SOOOO glad I didn't wait cuz we are going on a cruise in 24h and I wanted this phone before hand!

Wish I had time to play with it but I have to work for another 4h. GRRRRR.

went to 3 different vzw stores all of which were sold then i went to a best buy and got the last one, so id say they are selling very good

I counted 32 when I left with my GN at 9:15 in a suburb 30 minutes outside baltimore. That was 32 people in line for a Nexus, not including the others walking around. I didn't even want to see who came later.

I was at a corporate store just outside of Indianapolis as they opened the doors. There were three of us in line. The employee told me they only have 6 in stock. They immediately sold half their stock. Haha.

I'm kind of glad to see this phone getting a bigger than expected turn out at the stores. While it's just first day sales, I see it as a slap to Verizon's face on how silly they've been treating this phone. Imagine how much of a hit the Nexus could have been if they actually put their marketing power behind it. However, looks like internet buzz won out yesterday.

I wonder how the Razr did on its first day.

unfortunately I wasn't able to go until after work and the store I used was sold out. Had to return my Rezound in so I can have a Nexus over-nighted to me. Should have one waiting for me at the house, but it also means I'm stuck using my Storm again for the day.

I got to my store at 9:10 and there was only a couple people in the store. Person before me bought one and it took a while for they to screw with my plan. That had issues because of the home connect phone I had on there. No one else was in the store for one when i left.

So I'm thinking I may need to move, they haven't sold ONE of these in my town yet, of course I ordered it Wednesday night because the store didn't get them until yesterday... but no sales. We have about 50,000 people here and I'm it? Sad backwards little town.

Hmm... that nfc chip is going to be useless for you. Without google wallet, its only purpose would be to share content from one phone to the other.

A few of the Costcos in my area (Ontario, Fontana, Riverside, Chino Hills area in CA) have sold out or nearly sold out. I was fortunate to pick up one of the last few last night.

It seems I was lucky to grab one today. The store I went to last night sold out just before I arrived. I was unfamiliar with the area as I was out of town on business. Luckly I found a store that still had 2 left on my way to the airport. Im now a happy Nexus owner!
