Lines on my camera image? What could cause this? Seems like a hardware issue.

These lines started showing up on my camera on my Galaxy S22 Plus.
  • They only appear on my main rear lens (not zoom, wide-angle, or front lenses)
  • They appear on all camera apps I use, both photo and video
  • They are fixed and don't seem to flicker, change, or move
  • They showed up all at once one day, not gradually
  • The phone was not recently dropped
  • The issue is not with a case/cover/protector (I took mine off to be sure)
  • I've reset the partition cache because someone claimed it might help. It didn't.
I'd like an idea of what this is so that I can get an idea of the cost to repair. Might the entire camera need to be replaced? The sensor? Any insight would be great. Thanks!

Here are 2 photos: one at normal zoom and one at around 2.5x to show that the lines get "zoomed in," too, when using digital zoom. Both photos are with the main rear lens.

Hi there.
  • Yes, the issue happens in Safe Mode
  • I'm hesitant to do a factory reset simply because of the inconvenience and time it would take to back up and restore all of my data, apps, and configurations.
  • How do I know if my phone is still under manufacturer warranty? I purchased it used a few months ago from an online seller.

Oh well, warranty is non-transferable.

I was suggesting factory reset more as a last resort before bringing it to a repair shop, because they would almost certainly have to wipe the phone in the course of the repair.

It happening when using other camera apps is a dead giveaway of failing hardware, sorry.
Is it too late to return it to the seller? If not, that would be my choice.
