Link phone and notif volume?

I noticed that, using the side volume button, the notification volume is not affected (unless I go to vibrate). But I turn the volume down to the last notch before vibrate, it only controls ringer, so my notifications are still loud as hell.

I have not been able to find a way to link them in the settings, am I missing something?
