Link sharing gone

Use quick share then share in an app in Android 12.

So after the up date to 12, the link sharing option has disappeared... Did samsung do away with this? There is only quick share/nearby shareView attachment 339568

What was wrong with leaving link share the way it was, in the same location? Can you quickly access it from the share screen? I'm not going to criticize it to bad as I don't have that set up yet, but from what I see there really wasn't a reason to move it IMO.

I don't see the reason either. It was easier before

So after a 4 hour drive up north... I began to really get irritated with the upgrade removing this option. I have some contacts that I only give my Google voice number to.. None the less this was the only wat to Share non commpresed files with out using another type of messaging app. The Pic below is what samsung had reduced it to in the text messages

It's still there, just in a different place.

When you go to share the file, you have to click on Quick Share (rather than Link Sharing).

Once there, select 'Share In App' and the file will begin to upload.

Select an app such as email and you'll see the link appear and send as before.

Nope it's still there, Samsung decided that a couple more steps to get to it was a great idea.

I'm glad I found this thread. I never would have figured out that's where they stuck link share .
