Link to Android Authority: Report: LG to launch G6 Pro and G6 Plus by the end of this month

Those specs make little sense... Plus has 128GB of internal storage, while Pro has only 32GB? And my T-Mobile US version already has wireless charging. Weird!

Seems like they are geared towards the Asian market which would give them HiFi Dac, wireless charging and bigger storage on the plus. The pro just adds wireless charging for them. If this came to the US it would have to include the DAC and bigger storage for it to make any sense. If that was the case, Id be mildly interested.

I'm guessing these won't make it to the US.

I thought the same but then I saw this quote.

The handsets are expected to go on sale at the end of June with the three major South Korean carriers, while global availability is said to follow later.

I honestly dont care out the HiFi DAC but may be interested in the 128 storage. My issue is, by the time these come out, will the phone be too old for it to be a good buy.

I don't like the way the manufacturers do this. I bought a Samsung S2 when it launched on AT&T. Samsung released the S2 Skyrocket less than a month later. I was able to return the S2 and purchase the newer version but it did cost me a $35 restocking fee. A few months later AT&T turned LTE on in my market and I was one of the few people to actually be able to use it. IPhones didn't even have LTE radios back then. 😂

Exactly... other flagships, including the GS8/8+, HTC U11, Essential and OnePlus 5 will run on the SD835, and at least the OP5 will have 6GB of RAM, potentially more.

Honestly that's the one I'm waiting on and will most likely buy. I'll rotate between that and the G6. I'm still kicking myself for not snagging the midnight black 3t.

I just think a rerelease of the G6 is a bad idea simply for the fact that it will have been out for 6 months and thats too close to the V30 which sounds like it's going to be a huge contender. 6 months after that is the G7 which has the chance to be incredible with the 845 chip.

Wait..... 32gb is more than adequate.... Lol

I agree.... Why release them now

It sure is. The 128 version would go in my car for Android auto music.

If you are using it mostly for stored music why not just buy a used Nexus 128 or some other inexpensive older model. Heck.... You could also get a lower capacity phone with a micro SD.

Need something capable of running T-Mobile in full as a digits phone. I've considered buying another G6 but going to wait for the OnePlus. Like I said though, I'm only mildly interested in a 128 G6. I'd rather have something else to duplicate my line.

I'm still considering the G6, and neither of these "new" models would make me wait if I were to pull the trigger soon. As others have said, if these are released in the US it would mess up the schedule over the next year. Plus, the specs would be even more dated than they are (regardless of how important that is these days).

This sounds like a move Sony would do. 6 Month release cycles. If the article is correct, most of this doesn't make any sense, unless there is no North America release, and the Korean versions are an upgrade to what they already have.

Or buy a micro USB drive and keep it in your car.
