Worked with no problems for me on my Evo 4G. Only tried using 4G, not 3G or wifi yet.

I can't get it to work on my rooted EVO running CM7. I'm sitting on my network here in front of my PC (me signed in on the phone, wife signed in on the PC).

I just get a black screen on my phone and the camera never initializes (on the PC, it just shows the caller (i.e. the phone) just spinning). Tried switching to the back camera, with the same thing.

Then after signing out on the phone, I get a Skype Force Close message.

Anyone else have it working under CM7?

It's not working for me on EVO Decks rom. This sucks. I love this rom but I want/need skype to work. Back to a sense rom I guess.

When I try to log in, it gives an error saying that Skype has stopped working, and the option to retry or exit. If I retry, the same thing happens; if I exit, it looks like the app closes but it still looks like it is trying to connect on the notification bar.

I forced stopped the app from the applications menu, but I did not clear the data, I guess that is worth a shot. Oh I also restarted the phone to no avail.

hey guys. I have a rooted htc evo running on froyo (because my phone will not allow me to update to gingerbread), is this the reason it is not working? is it the root or the fact that i run froyo?? if these are the case, how do i remove the root and/or update to gingerbread? any help wouldd be appreciated at this point...please and thanks!!
