Linking Android Contacts to Non-Friend Facebook Profile Pics

Hi everyone,

New to the site, so this is my first post. I've been looking around for answers to this question, but while I've found many closely-related solutions, none seemed to do exactly what I'm looking for.

I recently used the Facebook App's "Find Friends" tool. The first screen offers me a way to find my phone contacts on Facebook. When I click "Find Friends," a whole bunch of FB profile pics show up. I imagine these are folks whose contact info I have in my phone but whom I am not currently friends with on Facebook. Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to recognize who many of these people are based on their profile pic and Facebook username. Clicking on these profile pics only gives me the option to add them as friends, without revealing their phone number, but I want to know who they are before sending them friend requests. Is there a way to reveal the associated phone number for these FB profile pics since I already have their numbers in my phone anyway? Similarly, is there a way to get my Android phone to use the FB profile pics of these people with whom I am *not* friends on Facebook, as the avatars in my phone contact list?

I've tried contact syncing with apps like Friendcaster and UberSync, but all they seem to do is insert my Facebook friends into my phonebook, which is useless to me because I live overseas and have no need to call most of my FB friends by phone. Ideally, I want Android's "People" app to do what apps like Viber seem to have no problem doing: that is, displaying FB profile pics for phone numbers in my phone, regardless of whether we are Facebook friends or not. Possible?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
