Links in Default Messenger

Hey all,
I'm having a lot of issues with accessibility in the default messenger. For example, if I receive a twitter link via text and click it, it opens up in a very poorly designed browser - it does not open in my default browser, which is chrome. I have cleared all of my 'default application' settings and even gone as far as to wipe the phone, but it still refuses to acknowledge any way other than this in-between messenger browser to accomplish it's goals. I even did a factory reset, as I'm pretty new to the Galaxy S7. The internet keeps cycling me back to the 'default apps' page, but again even when I have no default browser set it opens in a sup par messenger browser that won't even load the content. Ideas appreciated, thanks.

I have the same issue. I have reset all default apps but the links in messenger still use a strange browser that never loads pages and I have to click options and "open in browser" to properly view any links.
