On my android pie phone the password for my Linphone SIP account was changed on 2 accounts. I beilieve the problem lies with the Android system allowing access to the phone. There is another app that changes paramaters

Has anyone had any similiar issues.

I agree B. Diddy. I do not think its Linphone I belive the hack occurred through android 9. this has occurred 3 times and only to my secure TLS VOIP services.

Something I noticed which always enables itslef even though I do not use it is "find my Device" found in Apps, Special access, Device admin apps.

I still think it's more likely to be a flaw with Linphone, especially considering that it's open source. I certainly could be wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to reach out to their tech support team to see if they're aware of similar problems happening to other people.

If it is Linphone then the software would have to allow a user access to my phone and then change only the password of the VOIP TLS account.

Is there any known software that allows access to Android 9 phone to make a change?

That's out of my scope of knowledge, sorry. Hopefully someone else might have some useful input. Maybe @Rukbat?

Sounds to me as if someone hacked into the phone, because the owner (or someone he loaned the phone to) tapped on a link that was malware-ridden. Nothing to do with Anddroid or Linphone - it's plain old user error.

Is there something that allows you to change the password on a SIP account? Yes, the SIP account's website, usually. Contact the SIP provider. (Cellphones don't use SIP accounts, they use cellphone accounts. You need an app of one kind or another to access a SIP account. Google voice is "SIP-ish" - the GV app, Hangouts Dialer, accesses it, the Google site lets you change passwords.)
