Liquid Damage Indicator?

Hey Everyone,

I'm trying to figure out if my Verizon Droid Incredible has liquid damage. I know where to look, the two liquid damage indicators (above the camera lens and under the battery), and from every search I've done on whether or not it is damaged, I find that, out of the box, the liquid damage indicators have a white background with little red x's. Now, the reason I am posting this is because I have a white background with red x's and i just spoke with a Verizon Wireless Customer Service representative who told me that I do in fact have liquid damage.

I just want to get my facts straight so are all of the results that my searches have yielded incorrect? Or am I just dealing with incompetence?

I also posted this in the Verizon Carrier section of this forum, sorry I wasn't sure which one I should have done, anyways hopefully you can provide some clarity.

Thanks

I'm not certain...but I just checked 2 phones here and both stickers are white with red x's.

Neither should be water damaged, but I don't know hire they will measure it.

1 its in a protective case and has been since purchase.

One will be on the battery. If you see white, white with red x's your fine. If they turn pink or red, it got wet somehow.

any ideas as to why the verizon rep would tell me that it has liquid damage? I explained clearly that the indicators are white with red x's.

Just got the answer from another rep who phoned me. Turns out the rep who told me I had liquid damage is confused and needs to go back to customer support training.
