cwm-green has issues flashing roms that check for the device (rom wants to see thunderc, recovery shows thunderc_VM670)

This only affects flashing ROMs that check for thunderc boards. I'll have it fixed in V3.3 due out mon-tues.
quattrimus is the only one i can think of. and i just fixed it in my unreleased version of the tuch recovery, so jerry shouldnt have issues doing it (he knows much more than me)
Thats the one ive been useing since. Jerry posted it ive been leting my friend use my account hes wanted to make Sure i wasn't jus sayn to use it lol

Nope. Touch recovery is not recommended on the OV. Sorry.

Yes, there's two. One is buried in the forums somewhere (same a the sprint os one) and there's mine on my thread. (I recommended mine. Several people are using it and no one has reported issues.)
Do not flash a radio with either of these. it'll brick.

So would I HAVE to use the updater to flash the recovery? Or could I use flash image GUI or preferred method manual flash. .....I tried out the alternative cwmt after yours and it worked flawless even the battery level. Then I tried yours. Blank black screen and that's it lol so I'm guessing I HAVE to use the updater to flash the recovery.
[EDIT].... well after more testing your cwmt recovery does indeed work fine using Jerry's updater. HOWEVER. Using the other recovery is a bit more touch responsive as well as a lil bit faster. Also when using yours tvall, touching the up/down on screen keys makes it select whatever option its highlighted on but randomly does it. The last thing is I can use the alternative to flash the quattrimus rom with no issues. (Ik fixed in the next update) but overall I'm sticking to the one ported by drew.

Drew's may have some issues when restoring from nandroid backup as far as it recovering ALL apps....for some reason it misses some and installs others ....oh well lol best touch recovery so far..
