Little or no 3G service (since update?)

Friday was the first day since the latest update that I noticed a failure to maintain 3G service on my Thunderbolt. It may well have been happening for several days, but Friday was the first day I noticed it. Only for an hour or so did I have the 3G icon in the notification bar on Friday, and I do not have it this morning (Saturday).

I have tried rebooting and pulling the battery, to no success. I have not tried a factory reset.

Is there any kind of user consensus or, more importantly, HTC acknowledgement of a 3G service loss issue in the aftermath of the latest update?

Thanks,
Bill

Have you tried the new MR2 toggle from LTE to CDMA only? How did that work out?

Sounds like what happened to me recently. I wasted little time and called VZ and they sent me a new phone within two days. It was a hardware issue is what they said. My 3G kept dropping in and out until finally, it dropped out indefinitely.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

I have tried the MR2 toggle, to no apparent effect.

I have not called Verizon regarding a possible service outage.

I hope it's not a hardware issue given that the problem did not exist before the MR2 update. But anything is possible.

I will report back. Thanks again.

Bill

FWIW, it seems pretty clear that the cause of my 3G problems was a service interruption, not anything with the phone itself. All has been well over the last two days.

Thanks again to those posted suggestions.
