For the love of GOD, can we get this tip added to sticky Battery post?
My battery usage decreased greatly by updating to only checking upon start up!

I made the setting change, turned off the phone...turned the phone back on and it's down to 72% from 100% since 3 pm.

By turning the phone on and off, I think I made sure that the sprint apps are definitely not updating on their own.

Is there any way to remove this bull**** from your phone? For some reason, it never popped up before until I had to do a factory reset to remedy some other problems.

Now it pops up "special offer" spam from time to time. Sprint can go **** themselves. I don't pay nearly $200 a month to get spammed by my carrier.

If you uncheck every option in the settings of the app it will never bother you again.

You can remove it by rooting but doing the above is easier as far as stopping it from bugging you.
