little unusual calendar question

Hello!
I've been using a ny Fascinate for nearly a month now and I LOVE it! This is my first Android phone and I've been drooling over one for a while...finally made the switch

I do have a question however, about a possible problem i seem to have found with the phone synching repeating events.

I have a few appointments tht happen weekly for me. I put them in the Google Calendar (through MS Outlook and I use Companion Link) as repeating events. Then for the holidays, which we're coming into, I go and delete JUST the specific appointments for the holidays, taking care not to delete everything. I do that through Outlook, and again, it's synched through Companion Link.

Well, on my Fasicnate, the events I deleted keep returning! I've double checked Outlook and I double checked Google, and they are NOT there in either. However they keep reappearing in my fasicnate calendar! I've gone into the Calendar setting to make sure it's only synching with the google calendar, not "My Calendar". I've gone through by hand and deleted the holiday appointments from my phone, and they do delete without a problem. Then within a short period of time...voila...they are back!

I dont think this will make a difference, but I'm also using Jorte with my calendar. Note, howevr, that when I delete the appointments, I've deleted them in Jorte, checked the Phone calendar and the unwanted appointments are gone. then they return. So I've gone the other route of deleting them from the regular calendar. They delete...but then they reappear. And all this time, they are NOT in the Google Calendar on the site. Everything else is working great! All other appointments, synching...etc. It just seems to be an issue with repeating appointments.

It's not a game changer for me, but it is puzzling. Anyone have any ideas?

If you go to calendar.Google.com what do you have listed under "other calendars" in the lower left frame? If you see US Holidays, you need to click it and the click unsubscribe.

Nope. No other calendars listed. At one point in time, i did have that listed, I think. But not any more.

It's strange. It's JUST how the phone handles repeating events. The show out like they are supposed to, but if I delete a few instances of the repeat, it does delete from google, but not from the phone. Then when I delte it manually from the phone, it reappears.

We've also seen a problem with repeating events - using active sync and Kerio mailserver. This seems to happen when we add a bi-weekly event on the mailserver (using the web client). The event never makes it to the phone. The web client for the Kerio shows the repeating event, the email calendar client (TB/Lightning) shows it, but the Fascinate doesn't.
