Does anybody know how much a live wallpaper really affects your battery life? All touchwiz says is that using a live wallpaper MAY increase battery consumption. I'm using the wave wallpaper off of the play store and I'm getting some pretty poor battery life. Only 30 minutes kn screen time and 64%. Does anybody have any ideas as to why the battery life is suddenly so bad? I'm thinking about blaming the wallpaper but I'm ot going to do that just yet.

When I started using the Wave wallpaper I saw my screen time go down around half an hour to maybe an hour, but I still got around 3.5 hours of screen time. After stopped using it my Phone went back to around 4-4.5 hours of screen time

Interesting. Guess something else like milk was killing my battery.

The screen shot shows that you have had the phone on battery for close to 12 hours. A music player has been running to 17% of the time. It is just below 2/3 battery life. So you are going to get nearly 36 hours of battery total. And to you this is 'suddenly so bad'? It looks OK to me.

As for live wallpaper, yes, when the wallpaper is visible, they certainly do some processing. Some live wallpaper may do some additional processing in the background. Like a weather live wallpaper may occasionally hit the network to download the weather. Most basic live wallpapers or dormant in the background and you'll likely not see a battery hit.
