Live Wallpaper on Lockscreen

First off, apologies if this has been asked before (I know it has, but I still couldn't get the answer I'm looking for), or if this is in the wrong place. Everyone needs to start somewhere.

Anyways, I'm new to android and picked up my first phone Wednesday. I've bought the app "Live Pixels" and it makes a great animated background. Is there any way to set it as the lockscreen background on stock android? My device is not rooted and I'd prefer not using any 3rd party lockscreen applications. (I've tried Go Locker, but WIFI wasn't turning off when my phone was sleeping and it was a major battery waster)

Welcome to Android Central! What device are you using? On all of my devices (running 4.1.2, 4.2.1, and 4.3), live wallpapers show up on the lockscreen automatically.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm using a LG Optimus F3 running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. When I open up settings I have two options, "Home Screen" and "Lock Screen." I can set each wallpaper individually. When I open up home screen and set the wallpaper I can use "Gallery," "Live Wallpapers," or "Wallpaper Gallery." When I open up the lock screen menu, I only have two options: "Gallery" and "Wallpaper Gallery."

Same here, but as long as I don't choose anything specifically for the lockscreen, the live wallpaper will still show on the lockscreen.

How does on not choose anything? There has to be a selection of something, right? Can you post any screenshots?

Actually, I think it's just something that's particular to the device. You just might not be able to apply a live wallpaper to the lockscreen on your particular device if it doesn't give you the option. When I look more closely at my devices, here's what I find:

1. On my Nexus 7 running 4.3, I don't have an option to choose separate wallpapers for the lockscreen and homescreen, so any wallpaper I pick is for both. Since this is a Nexus device, this is the true baseline Android function

2. On my Asus TF300 running 4.2.1, I get the option to choose a live wallpaper that appears on the lockscreen and homescreen at the same time, or a separate static wallpaper on my lockscreen. However, I can't pick different live wallpapers to appear on the lockscreen and homescreen.

3. On my Razr Maxx running 4.1.2, like the Nexus 7, I can only select a wallpaper that appears on both the lockscreen and homescreen at the same time.

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing. I also have Live Pixels and some other stuff.

If we could put it in the Gallery it would be easy.

Not with the stock lock screen, but I've used Go Locker to do it before.
