Hey all,

JuSt noticed the option for a live wallpaper and one of them really made my day! Really cool looking and want to use; however, I am concerned that the battery will drain because of it... school me please, is this a major concern, minor concern, negligible, etc.... Thank you for any help.. I dont want to say I have a bad battery but its easy to use and decently long to charge.... so I dont want to waste where its not really necessary but I do like the live home screen look. Thanks again, !

Live wallpapers use more battery. (Some not as much as others.) They (usually) only run when the screen is on, so it depends on how much you use your device.
On days where you need to conserve battery you can switch to a regular wallpaper. On other days where battery is not as much of a concern, then live wallpapers are just fine.

The best thing to do is use the live wallpaper for while(maybe a day). Then if you go to -settings-battery, you'll see what percentage of power every app is using. If it's using more than you would like try another one. Read the reveiws. Live wallpapers vary a lot in terms of battery usage. Also, some live wallpapers will cause your device to lag because their process intensive. I used to use them but found that I tend to fill my homescreen so much that I could barely see the wallpaper anyway, so I just went back to standard static wallpapers.
