I have the Verizon S3 Frontier LTE watch but cannot figure how to load specific music/podcasts onto the watch.

Managed to load podcasts onto Google Play Music and make partial transfer to watch.

Thing is, I don't know how I did it or how to select specific episodes or music.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Open the Samsung gear app, click on "Send Content to Gear" and from there you can select your tracks.

really? how are you syncing because Gear Manager isn't compatible with the Google infrastructure as far as I'm aware.

Hell if I know. But through some inadvertent voodoo I transfered podcasts from Google Play Music to my Frontier.

Podcasts won't/ shouldn't have DRM so there wouldn't be any need for Google to encrypt them like they do the music and audio book files.

I didn't use the Gear app. I just played with Google Play Music and the watch until I saw a transfer instruction. I don't know how I did it but I can guarantee that I now have podcasts on my watch.

You most likely have the auto sync turned on in the Samsung Gear app. It'll automatically transfer any new audio tracks to your watch as long as the battery is at least 15% and charging.

I use pocketcasts for my podcasts. I'm aware that to find the Pocketcasts folder it needs to be in Samsung Music folder on the phone. does anyone know what the default path is for that to point Gear Manager towards?

I think you just have to enable the option in Pocket Casts to allow other apps to see the files.
