OK after and upgrade to 4.2 I browsed my SD card and found things changed... instead of one SD card labeled sdcard0; I now show 4 SD cards labeled Local Storage 1, Local Storage 2, Local Storage 3, Local Storage 4. I'm confused... they appear to be the same card reported 4 times?

Anybody know anything about this? I'm running ASTRO File Manager 4.1.447.

This is because of 4.2 multi-user support. Each user, when created, gets their own "storage". I think it's pretty convoluted and haven't bothered to upgrade because of this one "feature". They need "opt out" selection for users that don't want or won't be using multilpe accounts on their tablets, and especially for the Nexus 4. Who needs that on a phone?

Thanks! I'm not liking it either... Especially since there is only one user on my Nexus 7 as well. Is there any way to get back to a less cluttered SD listing (ie: remove local storage 2 - 4)

I guess I may put off the Nexus 4 that I was thinking about as well.

Certainly is useful for people with multiple personalities. Can think of ways to use more than one account for an individual. Also could setup a guest account. But how much memory could be saved by eliminating unused directories? Assume only the owner or in MSFT the Administrator has access to all directories.)

Es doesn't show the extra sd cards as other people have reported.

That doesn't get rid of them, only hides them. What's the point? Still uses (wastes) SDCARD storage that will never be used and makes the partitions incompatible with previous versions. Wonder if the person that thought of this will get a bonus? The person that approved the design change should get the boot.

I use File Expert and only see one SD Card under both My Files (File Expert's direct menu to sdcard) and one sdcard folder when browsing through the system.
