Our local tower is drastically overloaded. According to Sprint it has a work order for Samsung equipment in the next 3 months.

When completerd does that mean it will go 4G, or will they initially fire up better 3G capacity? In other words, do they go full boat when doing the change?

Also: Is there any chance they will implement wimax 4g service for the many non-LTE customers?

Sprint is not installing wimax anymore, and haven't for quite some time, so it might or might not be lte and or 3g. You can look up on the internet what they are upgrading for lte. Where do you live? You can go to there website and look up network vision to see what upgrades have happened and are going to happen anywhere, just type in the address on the map.

Quite a difference. Network.sprint shows nothing planned. The Sprint Retention man actually looked up the dated work order for the tower.

BTW.... the blogosphere has said Sprint Prepaid companies ( Virgin et al ) are still selling WiMax and may get that service level. )

You could be getting lte then. Samsung owns most lte stuff so that's what it could be.
