I've about had it, this phone is brand new. The city is not correct on my home screen and locked screen. I have tried deleting caches, and have also downloaded GPS test and have cleared and updated AGPS. It does not matter if the battery life is 100% or 50%. Any answers would greatly be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! In the Settings>Location menu, I assume Location is turned on, correct? Is it set to High Accuracy or Battery Saving?

Also, is it the weather widget that's displaying the city? See if there's a way to check the Weather app's location permissions in the App Manager.

If you pull up Google maps does it show you in the correct location on GPS?
How far off is it? A few cities over or nowhere near you?

Settings>Location. What phone do you have? The description might be a little different depending on the phone.

If it the S6 Active you are talking about I recently have been experiencing the same thing. It seems to only update once a day.

Does anyone have a fix as to why the location for weather in google now is inacurste? Or is showing a location about 20 miles away. I reset my location and reset google noe, but still the same issue.

Is your Location set to Battery Saving or GPS?

My old Sprint EVO had the location bug as well and had my location all over the world on occasion. Definitely frustrating. I feel the original poster's pain.

On your android homescreen, click on the weather/location widget, this will take you to accuweather app. On the accuweather app, click on the search symbol. Your correct location is displayed down the page, click on it. Then go back to your home screen. It should be displaying the correct location now.
