Which location services should be on at all times? Obviously not the GPS satellites cause of battery drain. Just curious.

I don't agree that it is a given that GPS should be disabled to avoid battery drain. Having GPS enabled doesn't mean that it is active, except when you are using an app that needs, or uses it, such as maps and such. After much trial and error early in my use of my DX, I elected to leave turned on continuously, mainly to assure that it will be functioning if I have to locate it remotely, and for convenience when I use mapping and navigation apps, and I've not seen any noticeable effect on my battery drain rate.
