location services

i currently have google on as my location service. I only use the standalone gps when navigating. i have never tried the verizon location service.

which service, verizon, or google, would be the better option to use as far as power usage goes as well as correct location? Perhaps verizon because of having phone signal? Or would both google and verizon on together be the best option?
