Locations where I can check out the Zenwatch 2?

Does anyone know any brick and mortar locations where I can go check out a Zenwatch 2? I think that I want to purchase one, but I want to see and hold one first, especially with what some reviews have said about the screen quality as compared to some other Android wear watches.

I went to one of the Best Buy location in my area, but they didn't have any. One of the employees check the system, and they only have 2 on the way (based on SKU, so maybe that meant only 2 of that specific design). Each of the Best Buys in my area is getting 2 (again based on SKU), so that makes me think there won't be any on display. They only had functional Pebbles and Moto 360s-2nd gen on display. The few other things they had were just dummy units.

If anyone knows where I can check one out, I'd really appreciate it.

My Best Buy said they would have them on display but not til the 15th. Maybe check again. Or you could always order and return if you don't like. Much more of a hassle but I think Best Buy is the only physical store that's going to have them

Next Wednesday best buy will start having them in stores. I went this past Friday thinking it was available but that was only on best buy online so now I'm waiting again for the watch to be in stores.

Yeah I went yesterday and the display and dummy watch were there, but they didn't have any real ones in yet. I refuse to buy an electronic device like this without first playing with one to see how it handles. I'll go back this week.

I have to say though that I thought it felt much more quality than any of the other watches they had, including the Moto 360 2 and Gear S2. Just felt and looked so much better in hand, even turned off!

I'll check this out and privacy put it on my list, but I'm not buying anything until I get a chance to see/feel the new LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition. That watch looks amazing.

Was it the silver or gunmetal grey body? That's another reason I want to see and touch them. From the online pictures I can't decide between the silver or grey body.

Gunmetal. I was impressed. But I'd get a different color strap, I didn't like the brown. I want black and I'd probably want something other than leather to.

I went to 2 Best Buys in the New Orleans area yesterday.

The first Best Buy (Lakeside) had the ZenWatch 2 in stock, but did not have any (functional or dummy) on display, so I couldn't see or touch.

The second Best Buy (Veterans) which is larger, did have a small Asus ZenWatch 2 display with a looping video and 2 watches on display. They were the larger gunmetal/brown and the smaller silver/khaki. They didn't have the larger silver/taupe on display. In stock to sell they had the larger gunmetal/brown and the larger silver/taupe, but the smaller silver/khaki wasn't arriving until next week.

The watches looked and felt like real unit, but wouldn't power on. I'm pretty sure they were fully functional with dead batteries as there was no charger connected.

Also, the Best Buy employees had no idea what the ZenWatch2 was, if they had any, what colors they came in, or anything else about them. Your mileage may vary, but make sure you know what you want when you go because shouldn't expect any help. For example one employee told me they didn't have them yet because he specifically searched the computer for the smaller silver/khaki SKU. Another employee, when I wanted to verify the color, told me it was a "black" band because all the boxes have the blue band on the image. (The specific color is printed on the back.) I don't say this to knock the employees. Smartwatches are still very niche. Just be prepared with knowledge before you go.

Edit: not sure where all those '*' came from

I couldn't agree more. Perfect write up. Luckily I knew exactly what I wanted so was able to explain it to them. You will also need to make sure you tell them what size band 18 or 22mm.

My local best buy has the gunmetal and the smaller silver on display. I must have seen them the first day they were out, as they were fully functional units.
When I went back a week later they were dead.
