It has a signed bootloader, just like the Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt bootloader was unlocked in 72 hours. Hopefully, they will use the same method so that the Incredible S/2 can be easily unlocked.

Looking are prior evidence, I think that the incredible S will be unlocked just as the G2 and thunderbolt were unlocked. I wonder, though, what else is down the pike & will it be worth the wait....i'm wondering if Verizion will come out with any dual core phones b4 the year is up...or better yet..b4 the summer is up.

They're slated to bring the Bionic and I think another dual core from either Sammy or LG by the end of the year.

There was a bit of issue with the G2, but I think that was establishing root. There have already been RUU files leaked for the Incredible S that point to the same/similar signature locks they used on the T-Bolt.
