Hi there, hope somebody can help.

I'm Canadian and live very, very close to the US. So close in fact that I need to have a roaming package as part of my normal service agreement so that I can pick-up T-Mobile from the US as my Canadian provider's (Wind) signal is very weak where I am. This wasn't a problem before as I was using another HTC phone but I recently changed to the 626.

The problem seems to be that I can't lock in a specific carrier. I can select T-Mobile but if that signal is lost temporarily, the phone switches to Wind. My old Windows phone didn't do that and it was fine but this one is driving me nuts.

Is there a way to lock in a carrier so that the phone doesn't automatically switch?

Bit of a phone noob so use small words ;)

Thanks!

Go to system settings > mobile networks. See if you can switch the network mode to the carrier you are wanting to stick to. I'm going to assume that you likely can't, but it's worth a shot. Also, the reason why it's doing this is to get you connected to a network as opposed to leave you disconnected.

Thanks but no dice. I get why they do it but I also get why my last phone didn't automatically switch.Frustrating though...

Thanks just the same...
