Lock Screen App Shortcuts disappeared

Hello,
I can no longer see the 2 app shortcuts (left & right) on my lock screen. I believe one of the updates killed it. Even though I can select the app shortcuts in the settings, when I check the lock screen, the buttons are no longer there.
Any suggestions?
My phone is the Galaxy s7 Edge Dual
Version: 6.0.1

Try to clear system cache via the recovery menu.

I had the same problem as well. I reset the settings (NOT a factory reset) using this method: How to return settings to default on the Galaxy S7 | Android Central and that fixed the problem for me.

You do have to go back and set up wifi, bluetooth, ringtones, etc, but all your account settings are kept.
