If you enable in developer options for the screen to always show you the refresh rate, it never goes above 60 Hz for me, although I don't game, but when on the lock screen it stays at 120 Hz. This would really affect the battery life I'd guess. What do you guys think?

I've never tried that in Developer Mode. Mine goes back forth between 60 and 120, never 90. Seeing these numbers might give a clue why my keyboard doesn't always register taps. Very frustrating.

I think the regular 6 is supposed to switch from 10 to 60 to 90. The pro from 10 to 60 to 120. Whatever the case may be, the developer options notification shows the screen at 120hz when it's just on the sleep/lock screen. I have to think Google will patch this sooner than later. No matter how fast I scroll on a screen, it never goes above 60hz either.

I may be incorrect about the numbers that the pro is supposed to switch between but I only saw 60 and 120.

I just enabled Show refresh rate. When I type it goes from 69 to 120, for example. Interesting. I'll leave it on for a while.

120Hz for me. It would seem that of all places, the lock screen is certainly one place. It should be sitting at 10Hz.
Apparently on Reddit some people are saying that 60hz signifies it's locked in at 60hz but when it shows 110hz it's in a variable refresh rate from 10-120. I have no official confirmation of this.
