Lock Screen Disabled after SIM change

So I have had a Note 3 for about 5 years and bought a new phone. I had to get a new SIM in order to fit the nano form factor. I put the new SIM in my Note 3 so I could start backing everything up. Now my phone has changed from a number lock screen to a swipe and there are no screen lock options in the settings anywhere. Why on earth has my phone done this? How do I get back the screen lock options??

Welcome to Android Central! Is this on the old Note 3, or the new phone? What happens if you take the SIM out? If you can connect to wi-fi, you shouldn't have to use the SIM card to backup or sync data to the cloud.
