Lock Screen extra step to log in

[Android Central Question]

So my Pixel 2 just updated yesterday and now I have this weird lock screen with all these ads and stuff. I have been signing on with just my fingerprint. Like, I do my fingerprint and it immediately takes me to my home screen. Now I have to do the fingerprint and slide to unlock to get past that annoying new lock screen. Is there any way to fix this? I hate the extra step to log in and despise the ads.
